This is an event being held jointly by the American Collegiate Go Assn. (ACGA) & the American Ing Go Foundation (AIGF) concurrently on the campuses of Harvard and MIT in Boston, Mass., 23-24 March, 2013…

- Instruction for new players, and Youth Workshop with Shi Gansheng – 1P
- Open Workshop with Yin Mingming – 1P & Andy Liu – 1P
- Youth Go Tournament for all levels K-12 + University
- Simultaneous Games with the Professional Players
Plus, visit the grounds of some of the most prestigious universities in North America. It should be a blast!

SHEDULE:
Day 1 (Saturday, 23 March)
9:00-11:00am Check in, free games, gift bags, etc.,
– Simuls with the Pros. (Andy, Gansheng, Stephanie, Chang Hao, Ms. Osawa, and maybe some strong amateurs too)
11:00 Welcoming Address, speeches etc.
– Welcome and Introduce guests from China (5 min)
– ACGA Leaders on history of ACGA and future goals (10 min)
– Mr. Liu Siming ( President of China Qiyuan)’s speech. (10 min)
– Mr. Ing Minghao ( Chairman of the Board of Ing Foundation)’s speech (10 min)
All Day:
– “Learn to play Go” station
– Self-paired games
11:30-12:30
– Chinese cultural activities (TBD, probably include calligraphy and music)
12:30 – 1:30 LUNCH provided on-site
1:30 – 2:15 Surrounding Game preview / presentation (and Q&A)
2:30 – 3:00 Presentation by Elwyn Berlekamp
3:00 – 3:30 Chang Hao Q&A
3:30 – 5:00 Exhibition match, Andy Liu v. Chang Hao
There will be self-paired games and some game review sessions throughout the day concurrent with the other events.
Day 2 (Sunday, 24 March)
9:30 – 12:30 Go Workshop with Stephanie (Yin Mingming) and Andy
10:00 – 11:00 Youth workshop with Gansheng Shi
Presentation by Peter Schumer (timing to be determined)11:00 – 1:00 Tournament for youth, these games will be fairly quick with 10 minutes base time and 5 periods of 20 seconds, or some similar time setting to allow for multiple games in this two hour block.
12:30 – 2:00 Lunch (which will be provided on-site)
2:00 – 5:00 Simultaneous Games
5:00 Closing Remarks, awards, etc
